Ross County Fair Queen & King

Sarah Everhart has been crowned as the new queen at the Ross County Fair. Sarah has been a very active member in her 4-H group over the past 10 years and she is very excited about the opportunities of being fair queen. She has held many offices' in her 4-H group from scrapbooking, secretary and for the last four years she has been president.

Attendants are Hailey Hice, Morgan Smith, Kate Weaver and Izabella Timmons.




Wyatt Jones had the honor of being crowned king of the 2014 Ross County Fair. Wyatt talks about why he decided to run for King. Wyatt says that he is very excited to keep the tradition of the Ross County Fair alive and that it is a very big part of his life. Wyatt has been in 4-H for 8 years and shows market hogs.

Attendants are Beau Bilek, Taylor Freeman, Payne Wissler and Ryan Tumbleson.

 

Friends of 4-H

The Friends of 4-H Named the late Don Kunz and former OSU Ross Extension Agent Ray Wells as "Friends of 4-H". Kunz was active for many years in the junior fair livestock sales. He died last December.


Wells served for many years at the fair as the agriculture agent for the county, coming here in the late 1980s.

 

American Electric Power has a safety exhibit at this week's fair. Stop by the area near the grandstand.
