The new exhibit at the Pump House has a therapeutic effect on more than just the audience.
Ron Moore, Jr., paints in acrylic. But for a while, he couldn't, because of his Parkinson's Disease.
His work is more than just victory over his chronic condition...it helps him deal with its continued effects. He's also the president of the Ohio Parkinson's Association, based in Youngstown near his home town.
Part of the proceeds of his own book...which tells some of the stories behind his paintings, as well as his own life story...benefit the association.
Ron Moore's show continues through February 2nd at the Pump House. His book is available at the gallery.
Both Ron and the Ohio Parkinson's Association can be found on the internet.
