Help for Working Families

Since 1972, The Assistance House of Ross County has been helping families reach financial independence and stability following an emergency.

Paulette Trudell says they help "working families" with things like food, clothing, and utility shut-offs.  The families usually don't have big expenses, and aren't living beyond their means.

She emphasizes their employment requirement - the individual or family needs to be employed, and the Assistance House needs verification for everyone in the household.

To apply for assistance, an appointment is required by calling 774-3560. The Assistance House is funded by the United Way, as well as corporation and individual donations.
