Something as simple as a post-it note could help residents gather information that could help police get criminals off the street.

Chillicothe Police Officer Bud Lytle says they have small note pads available to place next to your phone. Lytle says the note pad also has space available for vehicle descriptions.

Tips on criminal activity are vital in helping Chillicothe Police investigate alleged crimes and suspicious activity. Officer Bud Lytle says citizens get frustrated when they don't see immediate results from their tips to police.

Lytle says building a case that can stand-up for court convictions, is what they are aiming for.

In recent months, the Chillicothe Police have credited public tips as the key to helping them make numerous arrests for illegal drugs and other crimes.
