Seven years in prison is the sentence for a Waverly man convicted of a fatal hit-and-run last June.
30-year-old Paul Riggs Jr. pleaded guilty in a plea deal on the original charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and failure to stop.
Riggs was accused of going left-of-center June 24th, hitting a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Tina Ogier. Ogier, her unborn child and 19-year-old Mary Jane Cooper died in the crash.
A multi-county search was conducted for Riggs, which eventually led to his arrest.
