Friday morning in front of the Ross County Law Enforcement Complex, local law officials accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Ross County Sheriff George Lavender said he was challenged by Emily Schmidt and Amy Wagner and felt it was important to step up to the plate.
"It's for a very good cause and we're glad to be a part of it" said Lavender. "I think law enforcement coming together is a plus."
"It's a great was to wake up on a Friday morning" added Lt. Virgil Conley of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was asked about the experience. Conley's challenge was wide spread which included Colonel Paul Pride and "every other Highway Patrol member in the state of Ohio."
Captain Keith Washburn was happy to accept the challenge and extended his own. "I've challenged Judge Toni Eddy, Mike Preston (of the Sheriff's Department) and Sgt. Jim Lock of the Highway Patrol."
