SVC regular season champ Adena will pay in the Division 3 District Final again this year, after advancing with a 7-1 win over (19-3) South Point Thursday.
The (17-4) Warriors scored two in the second inning, one in the third and added four runs in the sixth inning, on their way to the win.
Ethan Sheppard gets the win for the Warriors, pitching five innings, yielding five hits and showing good control with no walks.
Hitting stars for Adena were Sheppard, who went 3/3 at the plate, driving in a run. Shad Dailey was 3/4 and scored a run. Eli Kunkle had two hits, scored twice and had an RBI. Cade Harper had two RBI's.

Adena plays Crooksville at 5pm Friday for the district crown. Crooksville advanced with an 8-4 win over Lucasville Valley.

In the Division 2 District Baseball Championship, Jackson picked up where they left off the day before in a suspended game, expanding their 3-1 lead for an 8-4 title win over Logan Elm.
In Softball, Logan Elm Lady Braves also return to complete a suspended game, for the D2 District crown. Logan Elm held a 3-0 lead in the fifth, then return Thursday to add 2 runs in a 6-0 win over Waverly.
In D3 action, Huntington fails to return to the regionals for a second straight year, falling to Wellston 6-2.
In D4 action, Paint Valley's Lady Bearcats stay alive with a 4-1 win over Racine Southern. PV plays Waterford at 1pm Saturday in Minford for the district championship.
