Detillion State Champ in Discus

Trevor Detillion, of Unioto, has taken the highest honor thus far at the OHSAA Track & Field Championships in Columbus. Detillion won the boys' Division 2 discus throw Saturday. Detillion was 7th in the shot put on Friday. 

Westfall's Kylie Goldsmith is a state runner-up in both the 100 and 200 dash.

Zane Trace's Walt Petzel placed 4th in the D2 discus, Saturday, while Piketon's Kane Dixon and Seth Farmer also made it to the medal stand. Dixon was 5th in the 800 run and Farmer was 7th in the 1600 run. ZT's Nate Newman earned a 7th place finish in the boys' high jump.

Taylor Baker, of Paint Valley, who finished third in the girls' discus on Friday, placed 7th in the shot put on Saturday.

Rebecca Branham, of Circleville, placed 6th in the 400 dash and Adena girls 4x400 relay of Jenna & Jessica Hutton, Carissa Poehler, and Taylor Clarkson came in 8th place.

Lady Cavalier Tanea Cousins placed 5th in the long jump. She jumped 17'8.25" in surpassing her personal record of 17'6" at the regionals.
