The first day of competition was held Tuesday at Washington Senior High School in the Division 2 district track & field championships.
Defending champion Washington Court House girls led after three events on Tuesday. They had 16 points after finishing in second place in both the 4x800 meter relay & high jump events.
The boys had four finals on Tuesday & Unioto leads with 29 points, Circleville had 21 points & Washington CH was 3rd with 19 points. Miami Trace currently is in 8th place with 11 points & Greenfield McClain of the SCOL was 10th place with 6 points.
Unioto repeats as the 4 x800 meter relay team champs. Washington Court House finished in 4th place in the event.
Trevor Detillion of Unioto repeated as the District Discus champion.
In the Pole Vault Sam Smith of Circleville won after finishing in seventh place last year.
The Field Finals will continue on Saturday at Washington Senior High School at 10am & field finals at 12 Noon.
